Things to Do on the West Coast

North of Cape Town, the West Coast National Park wraps around the turquoise Langebaan Lagoon, a haven for flamingos and other waders. For a few weeks each spring, usually August and September, the park's Postberg section carpets itself in wild daisies and other flowering annuals. Further south, the Atlantis dunes offer a stretch of shifting white sand for sandboarding, framed by the flat, wind-scoured landscape typical of this coast.
